Bank reconciliation
Know your books match the bank, to the penny.
- Bank and credit card accounts
- Statement PDF fills ending figures
- A printable report per statement
Drop the statement
Copilot reads it and lines it up.
Ending date and balance filled
Drop a PDF statement into Copilot, or click Upload a PDF on Reconcile. BooksGPT reads the statement ending date and ending balance, and you can still edit both.
Each printed line matched
Each line the bank printed is paired with the one transaction in your books of the same amount, on or near the same date. A line it can't place says Not in your books.
Finished when it all ties
When every printed line is in your books and the balances tie to the cent, BooksGPT can finish it and mark it Auto, with Undo. Otherwise you approve Copilot's matches and finish it yourself.

Tick until it ties
Watch the difference fall to $0.00.
Statement against cleared balance
The strip at the top is the statement ending balance, minus the cleared balance. Each tick moves the Difference, and it turns green at $0.00, when Finish now appears.
Clear all for a catch-up
Catching up on a long stretch? Clear all ticks the whole statement in one click. To hunt a gap, type an amount, or click Find the difference.
Every tick saves
Every checkmark saves as you go, so you can leave and come back. A split deposit or payment is one row with one tick, for the amount the bank moved.
A report for every statement
Each finished month keeps its own report.
Cleared, uncleared, register balance
Each report shows the beginning balance, the payments and the deposits cleared, the statement ending balance, the uncleared transactions and the register balance on the statement date.
Print it for your accountant
Click Report beside any statement under History by account, then Print. The page prints without the app around it, ready to hand over or file.
Later edits are flagged
If a reconciled transaction is changed or deleted after you finish, History shows the amount under Changes, and the report marks the row that moved.
Reopen when you need to
Undo a month, and newer ones follow.
Newest first, all or none
Undo on an older statement also undoes every newer one on that account, newest first, because each ending balance is the next one's starting point. If one can't be undone, none are.
Kept in your history
An undone statement stays under History by account, marked Undone. Its transactions go back to unreconciled, so you can fix them and reconcile again.
Admins undo
Undo is for a workspace admin. A finished statement locks each line's date, amount, account and description; its category, class, vendor and notes can still change.
How it works
Questions, answered.
When the statement already ties, BooksGPT can finish it: every printed line is in your books and the balances agree to the cent, so it marks the statement Auto, and Undo puts it back. Otherwise Copilot matches each printed line, puts the matches on one card that changes nothing until you click Approve, and lists what is left with the next step.
Bank and credit card accounts, and accounts you owe on that get a statement, such as a loan or a line of credit. On a credit card, the figures read Charges, and Payments and credits.
Look for the missing or extra transaction first: type an amount to find it, or click Find the difference. A workspace admin can also choose Finish with adjustment. It asks why, posts the difference to a Reconciliation Discrepancies expense account so the statement balances, and the report says it includes that adjustment.
No. Type the statement ending date and ending balance from the paper in front of you, then tick the lines yourself. Uploading a PDF fills both figures and pairs the printed lines with your transactions. If your bank connection can send statements, Enroll asks the bank for the last 12 months.
The date, amount, account and description of each reconciled transaction: what the bank proved. Its category, class, vendor, customer and notes can still change, and the statement stays reconciled.
Yes. A workspace admin clicks Undo under History by account. An older statement takes every newer one on that account with it, newest first, all or none. They stay in your history, marked Undone. In Copilot, undo is one card per statement, starting with the newest.
Yes. Under History by account, Attach puts a statement on a finished reconciliation, and when one uploaded statement ends on that date it is suggested for you. Click Statement to open the file again.
