Reports
See whether you made money, on cash or accrual.
- Cash or accrual, one switch
- Excel, CSV and PDF
- Compare to last period
Statements and aging
Profit, balances, cash flow and who owes you.
Cash or accrual
Profit and loss, the balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger and sales tax report switch between Accrual and Cash. Cash counts money when it moves.
Any period, your fiscal year
Pick This month, Year to date or Last year, type two dates, or step a fiscal year with the arrows. On profit and loss and the balance sheet, presets follow your fiscal year.
Who owes you, how late
A/R aging sorts each customer's open invoices by how late they are: not yet overdue, up to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days. A/P aging does the same for bills.
Click any number
See the transactions behind every line.
The transactions behind it
Click an account name, or one month's figure, and a window lists the transactions that add up to it, with their count and total.
Fix a row in place
Click a row and the transaction opens beside the list, so you can change its category without leaving the report.
Not reviewed, one click
When money is still waiting for review, its Uncategorized line says how many rows are not reviewed. Click that to open only those rows.
By class or location
Split profit by class, location or job.
A column for each class
Switch Profit and loss from Total to By Class, or any dimension you track, such as Location, Property or Job. Money with no value sits in Unassigned.
Classes from QuickBooks come along
A QuickBooks Online import brings Class and Location across as dimensions. So does a General Ledger file with a Class column, from QuickBooks or other software.
Default class per account
Give an account a default class, and transactions filed to it take that class, so you tag less by hand.
Report packs, every month
Several reports, one PDF, sent on schedule.
Your reports, in order
Pick the reports, their order and each one's period, or add a saved report as it is. Your practice's name goes on the cover as Prepared by.
Your client confirms first
Add a client by name and email. Nothing goes to them until they confirm from their own inbox, and they stay separate from your customers.
Monthly, quarterly or yearly
Every month, quarter, six months or year, on the day and time you pick. It turns on once you have sent the pack to yourself, and waits for closed books.

Questions, answered.
Yes. Profit and loss, the balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger and sales tax report switch between Accrual and Cash, and you set the default in Settings. Cash flow, aging and account balances have no switch. Books imported from other software can need proof of when money moved before Cash shows them, and the Accrual report shows them meanwhile.
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance and general ledger. A/R and A/P aging, account balances, income by customer, purchases by vendor, customer credits, and sales by product or by rep. A sales tax report, an inventory costs report, an account group report and a 1099 worksheet. They are in business workspaces.
Yes. On Profit and loss and the balance sheet, Compare to adds the previous period, the previous year or dates you pick, with $ Change and % Change beside them. Profit and loss can also show each line as a percent of income. Save the view, and everyone in the workspace can open it next month with the dates moved on.
Yes. Export saves a report as Excel or CSV. Excel keeps the sub-account nesting, the subtotals and the number formats, and CSV is plain text. Print or save as PDF prints it, and a workspace admin can email a clean PDF to a contact with Email this report.
No. The 1099 worksheet adds up what you paid each contractor, leaves out what a payment processor reports for you, and flags who needs a 1099 for the year. Export it to Excel or CSV for your CPA, or as a file laid out for a filing service. You or your CPA file the forms.
Build the pack and send it to yourself first. Then add your client, who confirms from their own inbox before anything reaches them. Put it on a schedule: every month, quarter, six months or year, on a day from the 1st to the 28th. Each scheduled send waits until the period's books are closed, and covers the period you chose, such as last month.
Yes. Track classes, locations, properties or jobs as dimensions, then switch Profit and loss to a column for each value, with Unassigned for money that carries none. A QuickBooks Online import, or a General Ledger file with a Class column, brings your classes across. Tick Balance Sheet on a dimension to split the balance sheet too.
