Connect Claude or ChatGPT
Add BooksGPT to the AI you use.
One connector, both apps
BooksGPT is an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Add it to the AI app you already use, and ask about your books from there.
Managed in Integrations
You add and manage the connector on the Integrations page in BooksGPT.
Built for several businesses
A bookkeeper connects once and asks about each client in turn, only among the businesses they chose.
You choose what it sees
Only the businesses you pick.
You pick the businesses
You choose which businesses it can see. It reads those and nothing else.
Receipt files stay off
Receipt files stay off unless you turn them on. Without them it reads your reports and lists only.
Disconnect any time
Disconnect it on the Integrations page in BooksGPT, and it stops reading your books at once.
Answers from your ledger
Ask the way you talk.
Reports and lists
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance and aging, plus your transactions, the general ledger and sales tax.
Every business you allow
It reads the businesses you allowed, one at a time, so you can ask about each and compare them in the chat.
Same numbers as BooksGPT
It reads the same reports your BooksGPT pages show. Name the dates and basis you want, and the figures match the page.
Approve changes in BooksGPT
Your AI asks. You approve.
Approved in BooksGPT
Your AI can prepare a change, like moving transactions to another category. Nothing is written until you approve it in BooksGPT.
Undo in BooksGPT
Most changes can be undone in BooksGPT, the same way as a change Copilot made.
Some things stay here
Bank connections, your plan and billing, and people and roles are managed only in BooksGPT. Your AI never moves or collects money.

Questions, answered.
Claude and ChatGPT. The Integrations page in BooksGPT shows how to add the connector.
Yes. MCP is the standard Claude and ChatGPT use to connect to other tools, and BooksGPT is a connector for it. You add it in your AI app and manage it from the Integrations page in BooksGPT.
Only with your approval. Your AI can prepare a change, like moving transactions to another category, and nothing is written until you approve it in BooksGPT. Most changes can be undone there. Bank connections, billing, people and money stay in BooksGPT.
Only the businesses you allow: reports such as profit and loss and the balance sheet, and lists such as your transactions. Receipt files only if you turn them on. What your AI app reads is then covered by its own terms.
Not from BooksGPT. The connector comes with your BooksGPT account, at no extra charge.
Open Integrations in BooksGPT and disconnect it there. It stops reading your books at once.
No. Copilot is the assistant inside BooksGPT. This lets the AI app you already use read the same books, so you can ask from there. Both read the same reports, and a change from either one waits for your approval in BooksGPT.
